My thoughts on the similarities between Metroid Dread and Doom 2016.

After recently switching between Doom 2016 and Metroid Dread on Switch, I can’t help but notice some striking similarities between the two games. It's rather... Lonely. Yes, this is a common theme in both but I felt it stronger in Metroid Dread; having to think about using your tools gives the lonely atmosphere better grip than in playing Doom 2016 where you run in guns-a-blazing at the enemies who took over the facility. The OST in both games are master pieces (even my cat agrees) Art is subjective but I think we can all agree that both Original Soundtracks for Doom 2016 and Metroid Dread are amazing, even my little orange kitty fell asleep to both soundtracks while I was playing both on my Switch Lite with a Bluetooth speaker for better audio effect. Both have tunes that match their respective atmosphere which by the way, Metroid Dread is beautiful on Switch. Graphically impressive for the Nintendo Switch Let's be honest; the Switch and the Switch Lite use the same specs and ...

Street Fighter II The World Warrior: A World of Hurt

After buying Street Fighter 30th Anniversary and having a chance to actually beat Street Fighter II, I would like to write about my experience playing the Arcade mode. Ryu: What a good starting fighter to learn the game and controls, I honestly enjoy the simplicity of Ryu's design and moves. Chun-Li: My absolutely favorite fighter in the Street Fighter series since I was a little kid! For someone who hasn't played Street Fighter 2 in 18 years, her moves and combos are a little tougher than Ryu. Blanka: This one is a challenge for me to be honest, both controlling and fighting but it did feel rewarding to defeat him after so much trial and error with moves. Dhalsim: This one is a fair fight, not too tough but not too easy. Definitely keep your guard up when fighting Dhalsim! He loves to use his stretch moves quite alot and if you use Hadouken, he will use Yoga Fire against you. Zangief: This one felt too easy to fight i...

Metal Gear Solid 2: More relatable now than ever.

Introduction: I've always been intrigued by the Metal Gear series after I played through Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain, Peace Walker and Metal Gear Rising. I finally got around to Metal Gear Solid 2 on PlayStation 2 and thought it was worth writing about. Tanker: Everyone knows the start of this game. It's the perfect essence of a stealth mission while also setting you up for rest of the game, the setting is dripping and oozing with content to be explored. I'd say the best details are the minute details; like the famously known ice bucket or if Snake stays out in the rain too long he will catch a cold, sneezing and effectively letting the guards know of his presence. I do however wish they kept the sequence where you have to run from the flooding waters at the end of the Tanker mission, either way what a thrilling way to start a game! Plant: This is the meat of the game, from freezing bombs and sneaking around in an enemy disguise to getting the HF...
